Casa Amelia

Casa Amelia is a neo-colonial house built in the 40´s by one of the most famous Architect at the time: Cristobal Diaz Gonzalez. We have remodeled part of the house to receive our guests. You will find a warmed welcoming and treatment from us, but always respectful of privacy. Casa Amelia is located near the legendary cabaret “Tropicana” and well connected to downtown. Some restaurants and cafeterias also surround us, you will find a local gallery nearby, Wi-Fi Hotspot with walking distance and “Pando Ferrer” Hospital, an international benchmark in Ophthalmology Residency Programs and Health Tourism is also close to us. Our property is located between two main streets of the City, so catch a cab or accede to public transportation wouldn´t be a problem. Old Havana is only a 15-20 min cab ride away and Vedado is 10min from here. If you prefer we can give you some references of private taxis that may safely ride you to any destination. The accommodation has an independent entrance and a cozy living-dining room on the first floor; the bedroom (upstairs), with a beautiful wooden ceiling has a private bathroom with centralized hot/cold water system. Hot showers will not be a problem, although you probably prefer a cold one instead… (Cuba, eternal summer). There´s also a hair dryer. We have A/C, a flat screen TV with HDMI inputs, 2 comfortable beds with capacity for 3. If you have rented a car, you can park inside the property just in front of your door. We also offer breakfast, minibar service (soda, water, juice and beer) and laundry, all these three last services for additional cost. Cleaning is every day, sheets and towels changes are every 2 days. We are a kind, friendly and reliable family. We´ll do our best effort to make you feel at home and to offer you a happy stay as comfortable as we can.
